On Thursday, the 9th of November, the George County VSO, headed by Lillie Sullivan, hosted a free catfish lunch for all George County veterans and their families. Lunch plates consisting of catfish, gumbo, baked beans, potato salad, and coleslaw was served to over 75 veterans and family at the Lucedale VFW Post on Main Street. The lunches also include assorted desserts and their choice of tea, soda, or water to drink. George County veterans enjoyed their meal while fellowshipping with their comrades-in arms, sharing stories of life in the military.
